We are pleased to present the McAllen Independent School District’s  Annual Comprehensive Financial Reports (ACFR). The reports were prepared by the Business Services Division. The District’s annual audited financial statements of the governmental activities, each major fund, and the aggregate remaining fund information are presented in conformity with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and with requirements established by the Texas Education Agency in their Financial Accountability Systems Resource Guide. The reports as submitted to the Texas Education Agency have been modified to conform to the reporting format required by the Government Finance Officers Association.

ACFR Documents

The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) awarded a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting to the District for its comprehensive annual financial report. In order to be awarded a Certificate of Achievement, a government must publish an easily readable and efficiently organized comprehensive annual financial report. This report must satisfy both generally accepted accounting principles and applicable legal requirements for the District to receive this prestigious award.
