Iasia Goldman of McAllen Memorial signed a letter of intent to play basketball for Hill College of Hillsboro, Texas January 17, 2022 in a ceremony held in the Memorial gym.
This season, Goldman is scoring 11.7 points per game, grabbing 8.7 rebounds per game and blocking 3.7 shots. Last year, she earned 1st-team All District honors, was named to the District 31-5A All Defensive Team and was 2nd Team All-Area by The Monitor. She was also an RGV BCA 1st Team All Valley member for Class 5A, played in the TASO Vipers All-Star Showcase and landed on the TGCA Class 5A Blue All State All Star Team.
As a sophomore, she earned District 31-5A Honorable Mention. She played her middle school basketball at Brown Middle School.
Goldman, who plans to one day become a math teacher, is the latest McAllen ISD student to earn a chance to play at the next level! See pics and video below.
