Morris student Mission PD

Members of the Mission Police Dept. provided a special greeting for Madeline Cabrera, a 6th grader at Morris Middle School, on Nov. 9, 2020. Her father, Jorge Cabrera, served 12 years on the Mission Police Force before passing away from COVID-19 in August, 2020. This was Madeline's first day back at school for face-to-face learning and Mission PD was there for her. In the Rio Grande Valley, many communities are intertwined with children attending schools in one community while their parents work in a neighboring community but the support across communities remains a Valley hallmark.
